Testimonials

From our students

Admittedly Legal has given me constructive advice and recommended a few firms for me based on my grades and circumstances.  I then reflected on my approach, tidied up my CV, and secured a vacation scheme with one of the firms.

Career consultation mentee (QMUL)

[Admittedly Legal's] materials gave me a good idea of how to prepare for international law firm interviews and understanding of the types of questions that may come up.  I like the examples [Admittedly Legal] used and the answering techniques [they] shared.

Interviewing and assessment day workshops participant (UCL)

I now have a much clearer direction as to what I should be doing in the next couple of years to maximise my chances of success in applying for vacation schemes in my penultimate year!

Career consultation mentee (LSE first year student)

The session was really comprehensive and helped me a lot with understanding what employers and graduate recruitment personnel look for, both in terms of candidate attributes in general and the specific application questions.  It has definitely given me cause to reflect on how I approach writing my cover letters!

Application bootcamp participant (CUHK)

The workshop is comprehensive, well structured and effectively delivered. I really appreciate the first-hand insights.

Interviewing workshop participant (HKU)

Admittedly Legal was not only professional in reviewing my applications, they also provided comprehensive advice that allowed me to work on my strengths and mitigate my weaknesses.  Their recommendations are realistic and I could feel that they are actually here to help! Law firm applications are extremely daunting, I am really happy that Admittedly Legal was around to guide me through the process.

Vacation Scheme & Training Contract - Our Services

We offer career consultation to undergraduate and postgraduate university students.  In addition, specifically on vacation scheme and training contract applications, we offer the following services:

Stage 1: Admittedly Legal's Training Camp for Aspiring Lawyers

As a first step, students should attend our Training Camp, which is an all-in-one essential course designed to improve one's competitiveness: from written applications, interviewing, assessment days, commercial awareness, to converting vacation schemes to a training contract.

Condensing our years of experience in helping students secure offers from all Magic Circle firms and top US law firms, we have spent over 500 hours in creating this crash course.

Stage 2: Submitting application form / CV and cover letter

Application forms

  • Career consultation with you on firm choice based on your grades

  • Review and proofread your whole application carefully, and provide constructive feedback on all aspects including writing style

CV and cover letter

  • Review your CV and cover letter and provide constructive feedback, polish and make it more persuasive

Stage 3: Interviews and assessment days

  • Mock phone interview using real questions asked by international firms, and evaluation on how you can improve.  This will often be in English and can involve easy mandarin conversation

  • Translation test preparation

  • Mock interviews: video, group and/or partner interview â€” using real past questions

  • Prepare you on commercial awareness, competency-based assessments and everything that may come up on assessment days!

Stage 4: vacation scheme performance

  • Consultation on what to expect, how to stand out, and performance assessment criteria

  • Mock exit interview and tips

*Direct TC applications follow similar stages except there is (of course) no participation in the scheme and deadline for submitting an application is usually in May/June, and the timeline will be compressed.

Thanks for submitting!
